Why do you think myspace is so bad?

im sure this question has come around so many times but I would like to know myself. You hear on the news how these sexual predators are being caught on myspace almost everyday if that. I have a myspace and i love it. its my way of communicating with my friends and some family that i have. the only people i dont know on there are bands. now in your guys opinions...are you for or against myspace? please no sarcastic answers.

I'm for it. Myspace isn't bad, it's people who make it bad. If these young girls would make their profiles private, only add family/friends they know to their friends list, quit posting personal info %26amp; indecent pictures of themselves then maybe there wouldn't be as many sexual predators on there. I personally think no one under the age of 18 should be allowed to join myspace, there are too many irresponsible kids on there.

I'm for it also...Its the parents that don't moniter what their kids are doing on myspace that gets ppl in trouble....I can keep in touch with out of state friends and family...Soooo goooooo myspace!!! Report It

I'm not against it. I have a myspace page. I don't always go on it but its there. you will get the people who come out and complain about everything that appears on the internet, here bebo is in serious trouble because anyone could join up and put in fake details and still be able to sign up. any of those big social networks get targeted at one stage or another. it's just myspace's turn this time. there's predators everywhere on the net, they can't get those ones, but can catch the ones that belong to social networks because they reveal too much info about themselves.

There are just evil ppl in this world. Evil ppl are going to exploit any and everything they can. Its not myspaces fault.

I think its up to parents first and fore most to police what their children do. My 9yr old loves You Tube. She is not allowed to be on the internet unless one of us is in the room with her, keeping an eye on her. She knows not to give out our address.

I think its about educating your kids to avoid (ALL) the dangers of life or do the best you can to make them aware and to spot dangerous situations or potential dangerous situations or actions.

Myspace is alright once you get over the initial addiction. Then it's cool. You can never get that initial myspace high like the first time you logged on though.

There aren't as many safety precautions in place as there are on Facebook. It's just less secure, is all.

There are alot of 10 year olds and up that are saying they are 16 or older.Some are giving out home adress and ph#.Its the kids making myspace bad.
