Are there normal people in myspace or just perverts?? I've got a myspace. Everybody where I live just keeps telling me that there's just a bunch of perverted men in there looking for teenage girls!! I live around a lot of old people. I'm in my thirtys and I'm looking for a guy in his thirtys to talk to. My cousin set this account up for me on her computer but I could never go into it because they have that site blocked off on the computers in my recreation room. I didn't have my own comptuer at the time. I just recently got one. Is this a bad site? Is it for everybody or what? Please I'm interested in your oppions on this?????

Ok. This is how it is. If you are someone ignorant with no common sense, you are likely to do something like that. I have never met anyone or heard anything about someone in there thirtys trying to get little girls. But you just have to be aware on this website. Yes there are some perverts seeking little girls, but there are also people that try to phish you for your email address and password and try to take over your account. But as for MySpace, just be smart and be aware of anything suspicious and you will be safe.

MySpace started out as a forum for exchanging news and music clips for new and upcoming music groups. It took off from there, and now it seems like everyone has a MySpace page.

In our area, not too many people past middle school deal with MySpace. They might have a page, but most of them in high school and college seem to hang out on Facebook.

While there probably is a small segment of perverts out there preying on naive young girls, you're probably not in their profile. Review your profile and use common sense in revealing (or NOT revealing) personal information, and you should be fine.

Now that you have your own computer, though, you might want to branch out a bit and look at areas that better reflect your interests. For example, if you are interested in books and literature, there are lots of sites where people get together to discuss books, etc. Frankly, if there's an interest, there's probably a couple of hundred websites out there for it! Check out blogs and see if there's anyone out there that's interesting and start a dialog.

Myspace is good, when you're talking to friends. I don't recommend it for finding a mate. It's only useful and fun when you're with people you know; your friends. Otherwise, don't talk to strangers, they could be freaky perverted old men, or they couldn't. You shouldn't take that chance in my opinion.

There are perverted people everywhere. There are also normal people everywhere. MySpace is just another forum for people. You will run into all kinds of people whereever you go. The thing with MySpace is that if you don't want to talk to someone, you can delete them from your friend's list. You can also make your account private and decide who you want to talk to. You can accept and deny whovever. You are in control.

I have a MySpace account and I like to think of myself as pretty normal. Crazy people don't necessarily know that they are crazy. Anyway, I'm also in my 30's.
