I'm a guy and I'll straight up admit, guys suck when it comes to picking up hints. Your best bet is to tell him in person if you can work up the guts to. Recently, he flew all the way here to my country to work (and also to see me) and we met up. He is a very nice guy and I do like him very much. We have been meeting up and all that.
